This Salon, Spa and Wellness facility provides a different ambience and feel for the SENSES to experience.
The salon area on the ground floor has been visualized as a Style lounge with the furniture and the ceiling taking sweeping forms in order to create a space that inspires high energy and fun.
The sharp curvilinear forms of furniture juxtaposed against each other that define the space also become multi-functional sculptural objects that the user experiences.
The Spa and Wellness area that is located on the first floor of the facility takes rustic treatments like cane reeds, natural rough Jaisalmer stone, natural hard-wood and boards that have been made out of coir. In contrast to the salon this area is defined more with wall treatments that come into focus rather than the furniture forms. The design here attempts to take the user into a natural environment where time slows down and where deep rest and wellness can be induced in the senses and the body.
The common string that attaches both these floors in spite of them inducing very different reactions to the body and senses is the form of a LEAF from which all other sculptural forms (as in the case of the salon) and the wall treatments (as in the case with the wellness area) have been derived. The trellis like façade derived from the same form of the LEAF reinforces this ‘LEAFY’ story architecturally from the OUTDSIDE AS WELL AS THE INSIDE.
